Austria is known as the city of "Sound Of Music" , it's the mother out of all the musical movies I've watched, if it weren't for my mother I wouldn't know all about it. Austria is also the place where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born, the house he lived still stays in its place and turned to be a museum.
Day 1; Halsttaat
We strolled around the town surrounded by the lake with a view of the mountains, the buildings and cafes was built in arrangement and painted in pale colors which made it seem like I'm walking through some kind of doll houses. Although our visit were brief, I was left with a lifelong impression.

We were living in the moment. |
It was our last day with the group tour, went back to our hotel in the Munich to say goodbye to all of them the next day. They left in the morning while we're about to go to Salzburg, we planned to stay there for 3 days and two nights in an airbnb which is very exciting.
Day 2; Salzburg
Discovering Mozart's homecountry felt unreal as my eyes kept imagining how it was back then, did he walked across this hall? did he sat on that bench? for how long did he stay in this house? It was a bit crowded since it's Sunday but that didn't stop us from entering the Mozart Cafe and went to the Mirabell Palace. It says that the Mirabell Palace is the place where The Sound Of Music shot a lot of scenes for "Do Re Mi".

Day 3: Sound Of Music Tour
Walked to the town like we did yesterday, our tour started at 1pm until 5pm so my mother and her friend went shopping while my sister and I visited the Mozart Cafe and the "The Sound Of Music World" to buy some souvenirs, especially postcards. Had indian food for lunch, then walked back to the front of Mirabell Palace to wait for our bus tour.

My mother and sister. |
It was such an adventure that I've been longing for out of all the places we've been in Europe. I felt like I just traveled through history in Austria. I yearn to experience in this culturally rich, beautiful land. We went back to our airbnb and I biked around the neighbourhood for a few minutes since it's our last night. We packed through the night and went back to Munich. Left the DaVinci hotel in the morning to Munich Airport. Just like how it started, transit to Bangkok for about 11 hours, waited in the airport for 3 hours then 4 hours to Jakarta where reality calls. Thank you West Europe for treating me so well, for your buildings that ammuse me, breathtaking countryside, for remembering the great artists in the history and presenting the museum dedicated for them, for the long sunsets and blue skies.
